Our CrossFit classes consist of a group/individual athlete warm up and in some cases a “Buy In” and a strengtnh/skill component. Upon completion of the prescribed elements the class will complete a WOD (Workout of the Day). The WOD changes daily (WOD’s are posted in Wodify and on web site) and may consist of a metabolic conditioning, gymnastic, or weightlifting element(s) — or any combination of the three! The class in some cases may also include a “Cash Out” that usually consists of mobility work, but sometimes we’ll throw in a quick challenge (Double Unders, Tabata Planks, Runs etc.) just to keep you on your toes.
We understand how overwhelming CrossFit may seem in the beginning, so we also conduct an On-Ramp/ Foundations Beginners Program to help new CrossFitters become more comfortable in their new environment — The On-Ramp Class consists of 8 sessions that cover CrossFit methodology and the 9 Functional Movements that are the “Foundation” of CrossFit. It is important to learn proper technique from the beginning in order to ensure athletes poses the tool that help in injury prevention and increase their efficiency, which is why our coaches invest this time with our new athletes. After the 12 Foundation classes, athletes will be moved to a more Competitive Foundations CrossFit class for further skill and technique training to start putting these new skills into action! This will lead to the mainstream Competitors class and WOD’s. Coaches will help modify the Competitor WOD as necessary. So Let’s get started…..
